Camp Health & Wellness Coordinator

Camp Ozanam’s Health & Wellness Coordinator is responsible for supporting the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of campers and staff.

DAILY SNAPSHOT
The Health & Wellness Coordinator is responsible for reviewing all camper health records prior to each new week at camp and communicating with parents about health and medication concerns. During the camp week, they distribute daily medications to campers and staff, respond to first aid needs, manage camper and staff records, communicate with parents about camper health concerns, and support staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment at Camp Ozanam.

TIME COMMITMENT
• Pre-Camp Work (May-June) - Approx. 40 hours total
• Mental Health First Aid Training - asynchronous learning + 1-day virtual training (dates TBD)
• Admin Team Prep Days - 1 virtual prep day in May, 1 in-person prep day on June 22, 2025
• Program Staff Training - June 23 - June 28, 2025
• Program Prep Days - June 30 - July 2, 2025
• Summer Program - July 7 - August 9, 2025 (employment ends at 5 pm on last day)
 

COMPENSATION
$650/week for 6.5 weeks ($4,225 for full summer) + room & board; off-season work
$20/hour. This may vary for international staff based on Visa sponsorship fees.
 

TIME-OFF
• Weekday Breaks: 3 hour break/day Tuesday - Friday
• Weekend Break: 2 PM Saturday - 8 AM Monday

LODGING
The Health & Wellness Coordinator lives in the residential wing of Seymour Hall in a private bedroom with shared bathroom.
