Summer Day Camp Lead Teacher
Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio, Inc. will be hosting its annual Summer Day Camp mid-June through July. We are looking to hire a talented lead teacher who will actively assist children ages 3-16 with arts and crafts, physical education, and social emotional learning activities.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate daily classroom activities for children enrolled in summer camp.
- Plan, prepare and implement lesson plans and work individually with children
- Operate classroom according to Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services licensing rules and regulations.
- Communicate classroom progress, issues, concerns, and successes with School Age Programs Manager.
- Supervise, coach, and provide training to Summer Camp Assistants and volunteers in classroom.
- Communicate student progress with parents as needed.
- Complete weekly documents for all enrolled children in assigned class including attendance, incident reports, and other paperwork as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed by School Age Programs Manager.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Studies in Childhood Development or Human Services relevant to position, or equivalent experience
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a school age or summer camp setting preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification or eligibility to obtain required certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
