High School Math & Science Teacher

Grace Christian School (GCS) is seeking a passionate and resourceful full-time teacher for our Physics (12), Environmental Science (11 & 12), Pre-Calculus (11 & 12), and Bridge to Algebra 2 (11 & 12) classes. Alternatively, we are willing to create multiple part-time positions.
 

Successful candidates will be able to guide students into obtaining a Biblical worldview of their being created in the image of God and thus having inherent rational, logical, inquisitive, and manipulative capacities even as they develop their scientific and math knowledge, skills, and talents.

Fundamental Qualifications:
1. Be a professing Christian who is active in a local church,
2. Obtained a bachelor's degree in an associated field or be an individual with requisite work experience,
3. Possess strong communication (written and verbal), people, organizational, and technological skills.
 

GCS, founded in 1980, assists Christian parents by providing a sound academic education in a Christ-centered environment designed to prepare our young people to know God and to live in obedience to His will for their lives.
 

We are fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED/Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Staunton, a city of 25,000, is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and is the principal city of the Staunton-Waynesboro Metropolitan Statistical Area (125,000 people). The city has a historic downtown filled with small shops, restaurants, and a strong fine arts tradition. The area around Staunton is rural farmland and has easy access to hiking and camping and access to larger cities like Richmond and Washington, D.C.
