Internship in Early Childhood Education

Ethos Early Learning Center is excited to offer a paid internship opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, nurturing environment. We are a vibrant childcare center that values creativity, innovation, and the developmental needs of children ages 0–5.

Position Overview
As an intern at Ethos, you will work closely with experienced educators and staff, gaining practical, real-world experience in early childhood education. This role offers exposure to classroom routines, child-centered and play-based learning, curriculum support, and the social-emotional development of young children.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and learning experiences
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive, play-based learning
  • Help create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and families
  • Collaborate with team members on classroom projects and center-wide events

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology (with a focus on child or developmental psychology), or Child Development / Human Development and Family Studies
  • Candidates with a strong interest in early childhood education or prior experience working with children are also encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and a positive, professional attitude
  • Reliable, consistent, and timely attendance is required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule & Commitment
  • Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week
  • Availability to work at least two days per week, Monday through Friday, preferably on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays
  • Ability to either start as early as 8:00 AM or work until 6:00 PM on scheduled days

 

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to meet the physical demands of working in an early childhood setting, including sitting on the floor with children, squatting, running, and lifting up to 60 pounds.

Background Check
Ethos Early Learning Center conducts extensive background checks in accordance with state licensing regulations and center policies. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required background checks.
