Department:  Manufacturing; Dyehouse

Position:         Dyehouse Supervisor Assistant

Location:        68 Ransom St Dolgeville, NY 13329

 

Qualifications: Math or science background required, lab classes preferred.  Previous supervisory experience preferred.  Textile or dyeing background a plus but not required.  General reading of work orders, effective communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and ability to continuously learn and retain specific job skills.  Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a team environment.  Computer and communication skills essential. Must have the ability to pass the Ishihara test.

 

Summary: The Assistant will assist dyehouse supervisor in running the dyehouse.  Assistant will perform tasks as required by Dyehouse Supervisor.  The Assistant position reports directly to shift supervisor. Safety first is the number one priority.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Train and monitor all employees in department on tasks performed
  • Manage work flow and execute dyehouse schedule with accuracy to maintain quality standards
  • Shade dye lots according to customer specifications
  • Maintain safe work environment and practices
  • Operate dyehouse equipment as needed

Physical Requirements:

●        Perform tasks at moderate pace.

●        Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 100lbs sporadically throughout shift.
