Instructional Technology Specialist

Description: Instructional Technology Specialist

Job Summary:  Develop and deliver professional development opportunities, resources and instructional supports to South Eastern School District staff and students. Provide coaching support to classrooms and facilitate the K-12 integration of instructional technology and the district’s learning management system (LMS), enhance instructional practices in the classroom related to asynchronous and synchronous learning, and enrich and support teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of students, teachers, and staff by serving as a resource to instructional staff, professional staff, administrators, and students’ parents/guardians.

Qualifications: 1. Minimum of bachelor's degree in education or equivalent educational experience to qualify for Commonwealth certification. 

2.  Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Technology Specialist Pk-12 Certification.

3.  Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred.

4.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

5.  Knowledge and skill in electronic curriculum applications and in the use of technology to deliver curriculum, instruction, and assessment in asynchronous and synchronous learning environments.

6.  Skilled use in Canvas LMS; Google Applications for Education, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook; Sapphire Student Management System; and Windows, Mac OS, iOS.

7.  Proficiency with multimedia communication tools.

8.  Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work with limited supervision.

9.  Such alternatives or equivalents to these requirements as the Board may find acceptable.
