ABA Therapist

Join our Stamford CT team as an ABA Therapist! Work with children and make a difference! Full-time and part-time hours available.

The ABA Therapist is responsible for providing individual treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. The ABA Therapist implements learning programs under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Qualifications

  • A passion for working with children!
  • HS diploma required
  • Ability to travel between client locations
  • At least 18 years or older to apply
  • Previous experience not required but preferred as - an RBT, ABA Therapist, Behavior Tech, Teaching Assistant, Pre-school Teacher, Para, Paraprofessional, Teaching Aide, Special Education Teacher, Daycare Teacher, Nanny, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry clients (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
  • Must be able to kneel, squat, sit on the floor and stand for extended periods of time during your ABA session with the client
  • Must be physically present at assigned job location(s) which can include clinic, school, client’s home or community based settings
  • Must be willing and able to perform crisis intervention (physically hold, restrain or block) as indicated by the client’s Behavior Intervention Plan while working with children with challenging behavior
  • Must be able to receive information through oral communication and written communication via phone, computer or tablet
  • Depending on clients' programming, may need to assist in potty training, toileting and diaper changes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
