Corporate Communications Intern
The Summer Intern program provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.

Job Summary:
The Communications Intern will support CooperCompanies’ corporate communications efforts, helping to create awareness about the impactful work being done across Cooper—and how we’re helping people (including patients, our employees, and communities around the world) experience life’s beautiful moments.
- Support global (“OneCooper”) employee communications for 16,000+ employees across CooperCompanies, CooperVision and CooperSurgical
- Implement creative campaigns that highlight the many employee engagement,
- Inclusion & Diversity (I&D), professional development, and community impact efforts that make Cooper a great place to work
- Develop content for our corporate website and social media channels
- Support the CooperCompanies intranet(s) from a content and platform management perspective
- Upload stories, articles, and other content to intranet as directed
- Writes short how-to guides for content owners, managers, and reviewers
- Assists with biweekly newsletter design
- Creates executive social media content for Cooper leaders, in collaboration with communications team
- Submits weekly report on progress to Communications Sr. Manager
- Other communications activities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent project management, organizational and follow-through skill set.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations.
Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.
Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently and meet deadlines.
Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Word.
Professional demeanor.
Work Environment:
- Professional office setting, with catered lunches 3 days/week
- Willing to report to work in the San Ramon, CA office
- This is a paid internship
- Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.

Education:
- Current college student, majoring in English, Communications, Journalism, or Business, entering their Junior or Senior year
- 3.0 GPA minimum

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $26.87 and $35.95 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
