Job Title: STEAMM Innovation & Technology Coordinator

Position Overview:
The STEAMM & Technology Coordinator at Celeryville Christian School is a pivotal role that combines leadership in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEAMM) education with comprehensive oversight of the school’s technological infrastructure. This position is dedicated to fostering innovation, enhancing technology integration in the classroom, and ensuring the seamless operation of all technology systems. The Coordinator will also represent the school in professional networks, build partnerships, and cultivate programs that prepare students for future challenges in STEAMM fields.

 

Key Responsibilities:

STEAMM Educational Leadership:

  1. Represent Celeryville Christian School's STEAMM efforts by actively participating in professional organizations such as:
    • STEM+C Creative Aeronautics
    • International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)
    • National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
    • Engineering is Elementary (EiE)
    • Aerospace Educators Association (AEA)
    • Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for engaging female students in STEAMM fields.
    • National Art Education Association (NAEA) for interdisciplinary STEAMM integration.
    • National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) for certification opportunities and resources.
  2. Foster connections with local businesses, universities, community organizations, and donors to enhance STEAMM learning opportunities and secure funding for initiatives.
  3. Organize and host STEAMM-focused events, such as science fairs, technology showcases, and innovation challenges.
  4. Collaborate with faculty to design interdisciplinary STEAMM projects that promote creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on problem-solving.
  5. Identify and apply for grants or awards that support innovative STEAMM education initiatives.

Instructional Technology Support:

  1. Work with teachers to integrate technology into classroom instruction effectively.
  2. Provide training and support on educational technology applications and best practices.
  3. Develop a comprehensive technology strategic plan to align with school goals and mission.

Technological Infrastructure Management:

  1. Maintain inventory and oversee the deployment and repair of technological devices school-wide.
  2. Manage and maintain technological infrastructure, including:
    • Phone systems, access points, and network switches.
    • Connectivity, security cameras, door entry systems, and emergency response devices.
    • Single-user devices like Chromebooks, iPads, and laptops.
  3. Serve as the Google Admin, managing GSuite applications and operations within the Google Admin Console.
  4. Oversee usernames and passwords for essential platforms, including:
    • GMail, i-Ready, SELweb, Office 365.
    • Online curriculum tools like Superkids, ConnectED, and BJU Press.

Professional Development and Advocacy:

  1. Advocate for STEAMM programming and responsible use of technology within the school community.
  2. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in educational technology and STEAMM fields.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in educational technology, IT management, or STEAMM education.
  • Proficiency with GSuite for Education, including Google Admin Console.
  • Strong technical expertise in managing devices and network infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for advancing STEAMM education and supporting student growth.

Compensation:

  • Starting salary: $30,000 annually.

Essential Job Qualifications & Requirements

Christian Knowledge, Beliefs & Commitment 

  • A strong clear Christian testimony confessing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (John 1:12, John 3:3, I Peter 1:23). 
  • Acceptance without reservation of the school’s Employment Contract, Statement of Faith, and Declaration and Agreement to Ethical and Moral Integrity. Knowledge and ability to convey Christian beliefs, teachings, faith, and values that align with the school’s Statement of Faith to students, with the goal of assisting students in the formation and maturity of their own Christian faith. 
  • Ability to teach all subjects from a Christian biblical worldview and perspective and to infuse and integrate Christian faith into all classes.
  • Attend and support a Bible-believing church or fellowship of believers (Hebrews 10:25) whose doctrine and beliefs are not contrary to CCS’s Christian doctrines and beliefs.
  • Must be able to serve as a positive Christian role model to students and all others in the ACS school context. (I Timothy 4:12, Luke 6:40).
  • Must have an understanding of and commitment to ACS’s educational objectives, religious mission, and philosophy of education.
  • A lifestyle of biblical integrity, not promoting or engaging in actions, beliefs, or lifestyles contrary to biblical standards, such as premarital, extramarital, transgender, or homosexual behavior (Romans 12:1-2, I Corinthians 6:9-20, Ephesians 4:1-11, 5:3-5, I Thessalonians 4:3-8, I Timothy 4:12, II Timothy 2:19-22, I Peter 1:15-16, 2:15-17, I John 3:1-3).
  • Must affirm that he/she believes is passionate about the intellectual and moral formation of students and Christian education as a profession, believes that this profession and their role as a teacher are a good use of time and talent to honor the Lord Jesus Christ, and understands that teaching at ACS is a Christian ministry. 
  • Must enjoy working with young people.

  • Proficiency in computer and technology applications necessary for the teaching profession.
