Market Research Analyst

Opinium is growing, and we’re excited to post an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial graduating senior or recent graduate to join our company as a Market Research Analyst.  This role is the first step in becoming a Marketing Research expert, conducting advanced surveys, focus groups, or other methods to provide insights for our clients.

Your opportunity:

Opinium is looking to add an ambitious and entrepreneurial Research Analyst to its New York-based team to continue accelerating our business growth by attracting and retaining clients across the US.  This role requires intellectual curiosity to design and execute research projects from brainstorm to analysis and client delivery, as well as the drive to experiment with new business outreach models to continue growing our client base.

As we are a rapidly growing small (yet mighty!) team here in the US with a startup mentality, you must demonstrate an eagerness to learn and proactively seek out ways to help improve and take ownership of processes—from helping find and nurture leads, to assisting in putting together project proposals and pitch materials, to carrying out quantitative and qualitative research projects.

In this role you will need to get your hands dirty with all aspects of quantitative and qualitative research and the survey data collection and client delivery process, from scripting surveys, to managing sample vendors, using internal survey tools to parse and analyzing data, to producing client deliverables.

As part of a new and growing team on the ground in New York, you will be joining 6 wonderful colleagues in NYC. You will have the opportunity to help shape the strategy and direction of Opinium’s US business.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Research

  • Support designing and executing quantitative and qualitative research projects
  • Develop expertise across strategic brand, marketing, product, communications or other client initiatives
  • Manage and deploy surveys, focus groups, interviews or online communities
  • Develop insights and recommendations from primary data and present them to clients/stakeholders in ways that drive impact in their businesses
  • Liaise with collaborators and clients and act as the main point of contact for day-to-day aspects of research projects
  • Assist with outreach to new potential clients/leads and with engagement of existing clients
  • Help draft sales material, including, client proposals, marketing documents, and case studies

 

Location: You would join Opinium US in our office in New York City where we go in 2 days per week for the foreseeable future.  There will be occasional trips to London to meet with Opinium teammates, or throughout the US for research/client work.  

 

Expected Experience:

  • 0-2 Year of Market Research Experience
  • Bachelors degree; business, marketing or relevant degree preferred
  • Basic understanding of market research methods from courses or internships preferred
  • Comfort with basic statistics (percentages, means, etc)
  • Confident user of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.

Salary Range:

Salary will be commiserate with experience, though is expected to be in the range of $50,000-$60,000 plus bonus.
