Student Worker -Work Study Candidates
This position is for Work Study recipients only (located off campus). Capital Area CASA Association is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to speak up for abused, neglected and abandoned children as they make their way through the foster care and juvenile justice systems. Day time availability is preferred.

Qualifications and Requirements
The successful student worker candidate is energetic, self-motivated, flexible, goal-oriented, creative and resourceful. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and follow up skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications preferred. Most importantly, student worker candidates should have a sense of mission to children’s issues.
Expectations
Student workers will submit hours available to work to the Office Manager at the beginning of each semester, arrive for scheduled hours promptly, notify office manager if unable to work. Dress code minimum is business casual.
Supervision
The student worker is supervised by CASA’s Office Manager and will work with all other CASA staff as needed.
Duties
The student worker will support the overall operations of Capital Area CASA Association by:
- Copying, filing, faxing, and general office assistance in creating/compiling/disseminating documents and mailings.
- Front desk/phone coverage as needed.
- General phone coverage during staff meetings as needed.
- Word processing and/or data entry as needed.
- Providing support to ensure files are maintained, up-to-date and complete.
- Documenting program activities in the proper location and format as requested.
- Assisting with compiling and data entry of program statistics.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Support all office procedures to maintain confidentiality including securing and/or shredding documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
