About Us:
The Ciesla Foundation, established in 1981 by Aviva Kempner, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to producing and distributing award-winning documentaries that highlight significant, yet often overlooked, Jewish heroes and social justice issues. Our mission is to educate and inform audiences about historical and contemporary social concerns through compelling storytelling and filmmaking.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. The primary challenge is to introduce The Ciesla Foundation and its films to a new generation of audiences, emphasizing the continued relevance and urgency of our mission in today's climate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of our films among existing and younger demographics.
- Manage and create content for our social media platforms to engage and grow our online community.
- Assist in organizing and promoting film screenings, both virtual and in-person.
- Collaborate with the team to create promotional materials, including newsletters, press releases, and blog posts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for audience engagement.
- Production assistance on film shoots
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Studies, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for film, social justice, and storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and video editing software is a plus.
