Marketing Generalist
We are Video Village, a small company that makes Filmbox - a popular film emulation tool for DaVinci Resolve. We have grown through word of mouth, and now, with a major product update on the horizon, we want to begin active marketing efforts.
We are seeking a marketing generalist with particularly strong familiarity with both the professional and amateur filmmaking and post-production worlds. While we value experience, our priority is finding someone who is highly motivated and capable of personally executing various strategies, with minimal assistance aside from some content creation and web support from our team.
Here are the areas we’re most interested in, but ultimately we want your strategic input:
- Case Studies Leverage our email list and website to gather diverse examples of work created with Filmbox, with a particular focus on identifying high-profile projects. Secure permission to showcase this work across our channels.
- Paid Ads Plan and manage very targeted digital ad campaigns, collaborating with our team to create compelling assets.
- Social and Community Revitalize our dormant social media channels and enhance our presence in film-related forums, subreddits, and groups. Pitch initiatives to relevant film/tech blogs and press outlets, and engage with influential creators for potential partnerships.
- Education Increase access to Filmbox at film schools and promote our student discount program. Plan targeted tutorials or explainer content, and work with our team to develop the assets.
📅 We can offer a competitive hourly rate for six months of full-time work, your schedule would be up to you.
🌎 This is a remote-only role. Most countries worldwide are supported by our payroll providers. Occasional synchronous collaboration will need to be done in Pacific Time (Los Angeles).
