Job Overview:
M&P Logistics is seeking a dynamic Account Manager Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the logistics and supply chain industry while supporting Senior Account Managers. You will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving sales growth. We operate on an internship-to-hire model, providing the potential for full-time employment upon successful completion of the internship.
Pay/Compensation Options
- $17.75/hour or $15/hr + $50 per account landed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cold Calling & Lead Generation: Conduct outbound calls to qualify leads, identify decision-makers, introduce M&P Logistics' services, and schedule follow-up meetings for Senior Account Managers.
- Sales Support: Assist with client record management, report preparation, and client correspondence.
- Client Research: Research potential clients and their supply chain needs to personalize outreach and proposals.
- Data Entry & CRM Management: Maintain accurate client data in the CRM system.
- Customer Relationship Building: Communicate with existing clients, maintain positive relationships, and address minor inquiries.
- Additional Tasks: Support various logistics, supply chain, and account development tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Positive Attitude: Upbeat, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Computer Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new software; CRM experience a plus.
- Time Management: Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects.
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program.
- Preferred fields of study include Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics, but other related majors will also be considered.
- Prior internship or work experience in a business or customer-facing role is a plus but not required.
