Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant – Papillion La Vista Community Schools Central Office Starting February 2025

General Description:  This position provides direct support to the Central Office, Human Resources and Student Services Departments at Papillion La Vista Community Schools.

 

  • Assist with Human Resources & Student Services projects while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Welcome all community, staff, and family members to the District Central Office, creating a friendly and helpful environment.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Manage the general Human Resources email inbox, providing knowledgeable and timely responses.
  • Assist with the district application process, interview preparation, and organization of interview records.
  • Process annual DMV checks for district staff members.
  • Maintain scanning and organization of Human Resources personnel documents.
  • Update staff demographic information upon request.
  • Maintain and update certifications, licenses, and training records in personnel files.
  • Support additional Human Resources projects as assigned.
  • Provide correct forms for the completion of requests in the Student Services process.
  • Respond to transcript and education verification requests.
  • Assist incoming families with the online enrollment process.
  • Complete student work permits.
  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and secure personnel records.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and other district software programs.
  • Excellent oral, written, and phone communication skills.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and planning skills.

 

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent. Previous office experience, college or post-secondary training preferred.

Benefits: PLCS pays 100% of the healthcare premium for employee only PPO insurance plans and all high deductible plans. PLCS pays 93% of the premium for all other PPO plans. Through the Nebraska School Employees Retirement System 9.78% of the gross salary is deposited into a retirement account. The District matches the contribution at the rate of 101%.
