Product Design Engineer Intern

 Product Design Engineer Intern: 

Start-up design consultancy, KB Design, designs decorative lighting products for entertainment, hospitality and residential markets.

 Responsibilities: 

• As a team player, designs, develops, and implements CAD drawings using Solidworks or Autocad 

• Assists with the research, design, and implementation of projects. 

• Researches and analyzes design proposals, specifications and applications regulations. 

• Interacts with engineering team to assess compliance with plan specifications 

• Create bill of materials and technical part drawings for fixture components. 

• Work with our production team throughout the manufacturing process. 

Experiences: 

• Expert knowledge of Solidworks 2D and 3D, or Autocad 3D 

• Must be able to read and interpret architectural drawings and contract specifications. 

• Must be quick at drafting and dimensioning product views and sections for presentation purposes. 

• Skilled in various manufacturing techniques such as laser cutting, CNC machining, hand-forming metal, welding, polishing, hand finishing 

• Strong communication skills required - both written and verbal. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities under time sensitive deadlines. 

• General administrative skills using Microsoft applications. 

Education: 

• Student at a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architec-ture, Industrial Design or Engineering preferred
