Sunday School Teacher – Taiwanese Community Church in Greater Chicago

Location: 1420 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, IL 60148

Position: Sunday School Teacher (Part-Time)

Compensation: Paid Position ($25/ hour, 3 hours every Sunday, except on the second Sunday of each month, which will be 4 hours)

 

About Us:

The Taiwanese Community Church in Greater Chicago (TCCGC) is a welcoming, faith-based community dedicated to sharing the love of Christ and fostering spiritual growth. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to lead and nurture young children in their faith journey.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate Bible lessons for young children.
  2. Foster a warm and inclusive learning environment that encourages spiritual growth.
  3. Use creative storytelling, activities, and crafts to make lessons interactive.
  4. Work closely with church leadership and parents to support children's spiritual development.
  5. Ensure a safe and caring classroom environment.

 

Qualifications:

  1. A strong Christian faith and a passion for teaching children about God.
  2. Experience working with young children (teaching, childcare, or ministry experience preferred).
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
  4. Commitment to teaching biblical values in a fun and engaging way.
  5. Fluency in English required; familiarity with Mandarin or Taiwanese is a plus but not necessary.

Schedule:

  1. Every Sunday morning (10-11am) during church services.
  2. Additional availability for special church events may be requested.
