Student Financials Intern

Reporting to our Student Financials Specialist, the Intern will have a holistic view into the financial operations of the department and will make direct connections with academic and administrative managers and staff, the University Bursar, and colleagues in the Office of Finance and Treasury. 

Below is a summary of the essential activities and responsibilities:

• Understanding the University’s financial policies, procedures, and best practices
• Performing accounting reconciliations of payment and holding accounts, and making necessary accounting adjustments
• Supporting the full cycle of activities as it relates to student tuition charges 
• Learning and becoming familiar with the University’s systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Chart of Accounts, Medical Benefits and Rental portal, which is a customized software.
• Assisting with the facilitation of process improvements
