Head of Marketing

The Head of Marketing is tasked with overseeing the overall media and marketing content for Kamp Kohut during the summer months of June through August. As a non-bunk staff member of the Kohut team, the Head of Marketing will work closely with the Leadership Team. Having an eye for detail, a deep understanding of the magic of Kohut, and an ability to communicate with potential Kamp families, both visually and in writing, will be important to the success of this role.

Overall Job Functions:

  • Oversee the Kohut Photographer and Videographer in their day-to-day work, end of
    session completed tasks, and providing feedback as necessary
  • Write the daily blog on our Summer Website and ensure photos and videos are uploaded by the Photographer and Videographer
  • Manage @kampkohutofficial’s social media posts during the summer
  • Create a plan, alongside the Assistant Director, for Kohut’s off-season marketing projects such as scheduling Kamp’s social media posts and organizing photographs for various mailers to be sent throughout the year
  • Ensure video recordings of noteworthy events, are recorded, edited, and uploaded to the Summer Website before the end of each session
  • Confirm the Bunk Photos have been taken of each cabin and are labeled properly for the
    Summer Website and the Yearbook
  • Ensure the Summer Slideshows are uploaded to the Summer Website no more than two days after the end of each session

Qualified applicants will flourish in creative spaces and have an eye for detail. Working towards, or achievement, in a communications/marketing degree is a plus, but not a requirement.
