Biological Sciences Research – Kenosha
Dr. Christopher Noto in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside is seeking student research assistants for on-campus work.
Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to digitally segment anatomical structures of interest as directed (bones, muscles, nerves, etc.) from a CT scan file.
- Use professional resources (journal articles, books, monographs, etc.) as necessary to guide the segmentation process.
- Ensure the anatomical accuracy and quality of 3D models created through the segmentation process.
- Assist with specimen dissection and preparation.
- Collaborate with other researchers in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of segmentations and resulting models.
- Plan, develop, or conduct additional analyses utilizing the created 3D models.
- Take part in periodic group meetings, including sharing recent progress, results, or difficulties.
- Create a final summary report of work completed, including any resources utilized, special techniques used, or decisions made while performing the work that may impact the final model(s).
Minimum Qualification: Presently enrolled in an undergraduate program at UW-Parkside.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant work or course experience
Duration – Summer 2024 and/or Fall 2024
Pay – Undergraduate Students @ 15.00/hr.
