Logistics and Operations Internship
Position Summary:
The Logistics and Operations Intern is responsible for completing projects and tasks that are relevant to achieving operation excellence at their assigned location/locations. These projects will be related to developing skills and gaining experience in logistics, operations management, supply chain management, business management/administration, or other logistics and operations related fields.
People or Process Management Responsibility: None
Required Skills and Experience:
• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university/college and seeking a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in logistics, operations management, supply chain management, business management/administration, or other related fields.
• Must be within 3 semesters of graduating (Junior or Senior standing)
• Must possess the desire and ability to relocate for future employment opportunities
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Must possess the willingness to work weekends and holidays
• Must have the ability to organize work tasks and work independently or as part of team
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
• Understand the business by experiencing the primary functions of the distribution center, including, but not limited to:
o Warehouse Operations
o Transportation
o Merchandising
o Sales
• Partner with an assigned company mentor to complete a specific operations project based on SUCCEED AS ONE initiatives
• Demonstrate project management techniques to achieve timely completion of business-specific projects and tasks
• Participate in constructive feedback sessions
• Complete additional company-assigned curriculum designed to develop RBG leadership skills
• Create presentations designed to deliver information to executive level management, decision makers, or frontline employees
• Other projects or duties as assigned
