Internship Title: Regenerative Farm & Education Internship

The Regenerative Farm & Education Internship offers an immersive opportunity to get hands on experience working and learning about diverse farm operations. These include: * planting, harvesting, and weeding crops in the vegetable and medicinal herb gardens * Feeding, watering and egg collection for pastured laying hen operation * caring for and handling small livestock--calves and pigs * Participate in dairy cow milking and milk handling. * Assisting with farm education programs--youth summer camps, teen programs, and adult therapeutic programs. * Assist and support with community farm events and farm volunteer days This internship will run primarily in the mornings 4-5 days a week, with occasional weekends needed. The learning is primarily through the doing of the day to day work, with guidance and instruction from experienced farm mentors.
Qualifications: * Responsible and Timely Individual * Enthusiasm for Regenerative Farming and working with community * Experience working with kids in some capacity * Positive work attitude and open to learning * Must be physically capable of manual labor and lifting up to 40lbs, and able to work outdoors for 4-6 hours a day * Some gardening/farming experience desired, but not required
Preferred qualifications include: The ideal candidate for this internship is excited about a hands on opportunity to learn about regenerative agriculture and community programming. We value stewarding the land, the animals, and our community through holistic farming practices and agricultural engagement opportunities. The ideal intern shares this value and brings a willingness to learn and participate in both the physical labor of farming and the social and educational mission of our farm too. Many of our community farm programs are for youth and teens, so some experience working with kids is preferred. We seek an individual with a positive and upbeat attitude, willing to learn, and willing to share your own individual talents with the team too.
