Communications Intern – Hispanic Practice
Note: This role will work exclusively with LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Communications Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in developing and executing communication strategies for Hispanic-focused campaigns.
- Supporting media outreach efforts by researching and identifying relevant journalists, outlets, and influencers within the Hispanic market.
- Monitoring media coverage and tracking relevant industry trends
- Drafting press materials
- Helping to develop messaging, ensuring content resonates with the Hispanic audience
- Providing account support to the Managing Director, preparing materials, and organizing campaigns
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and assisting with creative content development
- Event planning and coordination
- Media pitching
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, must be highly organized with the ability to multitask and must have a desire for a career in the communications industry
- College juniors, seniors and recent graduates specializing in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) with a minimum B2/upper intermediate* proficiency (speaking/listening/reading/writing) *
*B2/Upper Intermediate Proficiency:
- Speaking: Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers possible.
- Listening: Can understand extended speech and lectures, as well as most TV programs, films, visual media in standard dialect.
- Reading: Can read articles and reports on current issues.
- Writing: Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects.
