
Project Engineer
The Project Engineer monitors activities at construction job sites and attends to project paperwork at main office. This includes working to ensure construction is progressing as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to. This position reports directly to the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and all other assigned supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontract and material supply administration
- Administer safety program coordinate trainings
- Issue service agreements for various needs as directed by project manager
- Assist in preparation of Monthly Pay Estimate and Subcontract Pay Vouchers
- Track quantities (material/labor) for payment and cost purposes
- Calculate material/work quantity requirements (takeoffs)
- Monitor progress and calculate percentage complete per work item
- Create or assist in weekly meeting agenda
- Prepare and manage trucking and material logs
- Prepare and manage submittals & RFI's
- Review incoming subcontractor submittals prior to sending to Owner
- Update and maintain project Baseline & Weekly schedules
- Maintain documentation to support the company's position for claims resolution
- Update As-built drawings
- Generate Survey and Staking Request
- Coordinate and circulate responses to all affected personnel and subcontractors
- Assist in Managing Environment permits and regulations
- Manage Underground Service Alert (USA) process
- Manage extra work process, change orders and claims management
- Review of daily time sheets
- Monitor and/or manage project document control
- Manage project photos database
- Manage company material inventory
- Develop good working relationship with owners, subcontractors and field personnel
- Support project with all technical matters and determine outside assistance when needed
- Maintain daily project diary
- Perform additional assignments per management's direction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
