Bohannon Creek Cattle Company is a family-owned and operated ranch located in the beautiful pastures of Eastern Idaho. We are passionate about providing top-quality feed, while prioritizing the health and well-being of our cattle. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Irrigator to join our team and help maintain our lush and fertile pastures.

Position Overview:

The Irrigator will be responsible for overseeing the irrigation system at the ranch, ensuring that our pastures receive the necessary water for optimal growth and health throughout the summer growing season. This position requires someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic. The Irrigator will report directly to the Ranch Manager and work closely with our team of ranch hands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the irrigation system, including pumps, main lines, hand lines, wheel lines, and dams.

• Monitor daily water levels and adjust irrigation schedules as needed.

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on relevant equipment.

• Keep accurate records of irrigation schedules, water usage, and maintenance activities.

• Communicate effectively with the Ranch Manager and other team members about irrigation needs and issues.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in irrigation or agriculture is preferred.

• Knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, and water management.

• Ability to operate and maintain machinery and equipment is preferred.

• Physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer an hourly wage based on experience and qualifications. Employees also receive benefits such as housing, and will be provided with an on-ranch vehicle.
