BBH Undergraduate Mentorship Program

BBH Undergraduate Mentorship Program for First Generation Students 

DESCRIPTION:

The BBH Undergraduate Mentorship Program (BUMP) aims to increase exposure to the financial services industry to underrepresented communities and seeks to offer an opportunity to learn about a career in Private Banking and Investment Management. Participants will receive assistance with resume development, interview preparation, and professional networking and will also have an accelerated opportunity to be considered for the BBH Summer Internship program. 

We believe that what makes you unique drives your success and ours. The BUMP program is targeted towards college sophomores who are first-generation college students from a variety of backgrounds. In alignment with our inclusive culture and belief that diversity of thought yields stronger business results, we are looking for dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds to help us grow and position our businesses for the future.

Eligible students from all backgrounds are welcome to apply, and candidates are selected based on their academic achievement and interest in the financial services industry. 

 

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Program will run March 26 – April 30th
  • Six-week virtual program designed for first-generation college students in their sophomore year
  • Weekly calls with pre-selected mentors helping participants navigate career planning
  • E-learning curriculum sessions held on Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 PM EST

  • Financial services and banking industries
  • Resume building and interviewing strategies
  • Personal branding and career planning

 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Intensive interview preparation and practice
  • One-on-one mentorship and career coaching
  • Leadership skills and technical training
  • Opportunity to learn from and network with finance professionals
  • Opportunity to participate in the interview process for the following year’s BBH Summer Internship Program

 

ELIGIBILITY & STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

  • First-generation college students (defined as a student who is the first in their family to attend a 4-year college or university degree in any country)
  • Live and attend college/university in the United States
  • Class of 2027 (current college sophomore)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated strong interest in financial services
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrated passion for teamwork and commitment to diversity
  • Required attendance and active participation in weekly meetings
