Junior Designer

Chris Shao Studio, a boutique design firm in New York City, seeks a talented and motivated candidate for an ongoing Junior Designer position. We are looking to add to our team, to assist with the studio’s work across high-end residential, hospitality and multi-unit development projects. You will be working directly with all studio levels including the Principal and Studio Head, in a hands-on environment.

We are looking for someone with a great work-ethic, and enthusiastic about being involved in a variety of local and international projects. Proficiency in standard computer production programs such as, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp is required. You will be supporting the designers in both design-related and administrative office duties, so strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity of both Mac and PC interfaces is essential. An understanding of specifications, construction detailing, and materiality selections is a key skillset.
