We're excited to offer a summer internship opportunity for college students or recent graduates pursuing a career in Business, Sales, or Marketing. This position provides hands-on experience in real-world projects and is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills in a professional environment.

What You'll Do

As a Summer Intern in our Marketing and Sales department, your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with marketing tasks, including minor website updates, form creation, advertising support, and other related activities.
• Digitalizing old photographs and marketing materials for preservation and future use.
• Helping to manage and delegate marketing tasks to team members.
• Placing fiber internet signs in key field locations to support promotional efforts.
• Conducting audits of local chambers of commerce memberships and identifying advertising opportunities.
• Attending summer fairs and events to promote MEC's fiber internet services and engage with the community.
• Performing data entry and other administrative tasks to support marketing initiatives.

Who You Are

You're a motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives on learning and contributing to meaningful projects. You're passionate about marketing, community engagement, and gaining hands-on experience in the business world.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
• Comfortable working outdoors for tasks such as field sign placement and event participation.
• Reliable transportation for travel to various work locations and events.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset paired with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Job Details

• Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time, May Through August
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, occasional evenings & weekends for events
• Required Travel: Occasional travel as needed
• Compensation: $18.00 per hour

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to commute or independently relocate if necessary.
