Electronic Technician

The Electronic Technician is more than just a modern-day technician; we provide hardware support to multiple lines of businesses! In this role, we may respond to an issue with Avaya or Cisco phone systems, tackle Wi-Fi and TIMELOX equipment issues and even work on Resort in-room technology devices. Additionally, we focus on the installation and full sustainment of the network and data devices including the layer 1 infrastructure supporting our devices. We also have the opportunity to support the special events team throughout the Walt Disney World property providing voice and data connectivity for any events that need assistance.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $27.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, tackling, and configuring of phones and associated peripherals on Avaya and Cisco Systems
- Perform sustainment of in-room technology including WIFI, TIMELOX, and GPON equipment
- Required to install and maintain all layer 1 infrastructure
- Proficiency with layer 1 fiber and copper test equipment
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management or lead technician
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
Basic Qualifications:
- Telephony experience
- Layer 1 experience
- Knowledge of Cisco/Avaya voice systems and T1/Data circuits
- Ability to terminate and solve CAT6a cabling
- Knowledge of passive optical network (PON) and data network technologies
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Avaya environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Florida state driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Certification on Avaya or Cisco is preferred
