Mental Health Intern
Position: Mental Health Intern Location: Grand Rapids, MI Employment Type: Internship (Part-Time or Full-Time Options Available)
Who We Are: Practical Solutions Counseling, PLLC is a Christian outpatient mental health clinic dedicated to empowering individuals and families through professional and compassionate care. Our clinic provides a supportive learning environment for aspiring mental health professionals to gain hands-on experience and grow in their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing individual and group counseling under the supervision of licensed therapists.
- Support the intake process by helping with assessments and preliminary documentation.
- Shadow licensed therapists during sessions to gain real-world experience in evidence-based practices.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions and treatment planning.
- Help maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state regulations.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the mental health profession.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism.
