Transportation Systems Analysis Intern
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic team member to contribute to our ongoing research work on traffic modeling and variable speed limit control. This position involves running simulations and analyzing different traffic scenarios. The candidate will also be responsible for analyzing the effect of different control techniques already developed as part of this project. This internship is an opportunity to get involved in automotive research and work with current CAR graduate students and researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run and analyze traffic simulations/control scenarios using different model types and be able to explain/report on results.
- Help develop streamlined processes for data collection and controller comparison.
Requirements:
- Current Undergraduate/Graduate student in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Programming proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink. Other programming languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamic-type models and traffic behavior is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.
