The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) Business Centers are a cohesive team that provides professional service, efficient resource management, and effective solution development with integrity and accountability.
As the Business Center Manager II, you will:
- Manage the daily operations of a large organizational unit in multiple functional areas.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all financial, grants administration, and human resource/payroll transactions are provided in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Manage business center operations and supervise business center staff executing and reviewing complex financial, grants, and human resources transactions, while supporting a culture of excellent customer service.
- Interact directly with departmental and institutional representatives and be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the departments served.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of finance and/or human resources experience. Additional education or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of experience supervising staff (either functionally or full supervision).
- Experience with SAP or large integrated finance or human resources system.
- Knowledge of finance, grants, and/or human resources terminology and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze data and inquiries, think critically, and make appropriate decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people, projects, and/or teams; and coach and mentor others.
Posted Salary $70,032/yr minimum
