Student Worker, Gift Compliance- Work Study

Job Summary 

The Student Worker will support the Gift Compliance team with various administrative tasks, including scanning files and record retention duties, shredding confidential information, and other duties as assigned. Additional duties to be added as the students’ experience progresses, especially with additional training in computer databases, programs, and mailouts. 

A confidentiality agreement will be mandatory to sign with the department.  Training will be provided. Required to be scheduled a minimum of 10 hours per week. 

Employee evaluation will take place annually. 

Current payrate as determined by the division of University Advancement is $12 per hour. 

Job Duties/Requirements:

  • Electronic and paper filing documents related to memorandums and endowments
  • Scanning files and record retention duties
  • Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF required
  • Repetitive keyboard tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Gift Compliance is committed to stewarding donors that provide gifts to continue the mission of the university. Gift Compliance provides assistance with preparing gift agreements, MOU’s, and endowment information. They ensure compliance of endowed gifts through distribution and spending reports, ensuring colleges/departments are spending funds within compliance standards that have been established.

On-Campus Job Location: The University Advancement office in JC Kellam, 601 University Drive, San Marcos, TX.

Schedule: They will work a minimum 10 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. is preferred. We are hiring for the Spring 2025 semester.
