This position receives Hazardous Duty Pay, paid biweekly at $60.
Schedule:
07:00 - 15:00 with Saturdays and Sundays off

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, Division of Administration - Logistics has a full-time vacancy for a Warehouseman.
Summary:
Receive shipments, store and inventory supplies, operate trucks and warehouse equipment, pick-up and deliver supplies in and out of the Prison, working in close and immediate contact with prisoners on a daily basis, having responsibility for security.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: One year of experience as a storekeeper, stock clerk, in warehousing, operating forklifts or related experience. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire driver's license.
Special Requirements: Successful completion of the Corrections Academy and continuing Certification as correctional line personnel as established by the certifying authority.
Responsibilities:
Maintains security in the supervision and training of inmate workers, observes behavior and accountability. Prevents security violations and potential escapes.
Receive trucks, check shipments against existing purchase orders, scrutinize for quality, quantity and damages, processes shipping documents.
Allocates warehouse space for incoming supplies, fills orders, packs cartons, transports food and supplies to inside prison and to satellite locations.
Operate and regulate refrigerated truck. Perform light maintenance and operate both transport trucks and material handling equipment.
Maintain warehouse inventories, including control of hazardous materials as depicted by Departmental Policy and Procedures.
Pick-up finished goods from Correctional Industries and other vendors, deliver to designated locations, using inmate laborers.
Perform clerical duties related to warehouse functions.
Lifts or moves medium to heave objects. Endures periods of bending, reaching and climbing.
