Job description
We are seeking a talented individual for a Human Resources Generalist II position with high organizational skills that is able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. This position will recruit across various retail brands for sales leadership and must be very detail oriented.

Job Overview
Typical job duties of Human Resource Generalist II include:
- Processing payroll in coordination with the current Professional Employer Organization (PEO)
- Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
- Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
- Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
- Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
- Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
- Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval
- Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks
- Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance.
The HR Generalist II may also be called to focus their efforts in the following areas:
- Workforce Planning and Employment
- Implementing the organization’s recruiting strategy
- Interviewing applicants
- Assisting with background investigations
- Conducting training sessions
- Administering on-the-job training programs
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs
- Maintaining records of employee participation in all training and development programs
- Analyzing job duties
- Writing job descriptions
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment of small to medium size. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however some file management is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
