Business Development Intern
Internship Overview
The Business Development Intern will assist the founder/CEO in various tasks aimed at generating leads, conducting market research, and maintaining client relationships. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Lead Generation: Conduct market research to identify potential
customers and generate lists of leads.
Sales Support: Assist in managing email campaigns, making cold calls, and
updating sales records.
Meeting Participation: Attend meetings, workshops, and events to gain insights
into the sales process.
Sales Process Observation: Observe and participate in sales processes to learn effective techniques and strategies.
Pipeline maintenance: Assist in creating a formal sales pipeline process and
update documents related to sales activities and maintain accurate records of
interactions with clients.
Process documentation: Create a ‘handbook’ of sales processes that can be
utilized by future employees for training / reference purposes
Feedback and Improvement: Identify potential weaknesses in processes and
suggest improvements.
Requirements
Education: Enrollment in a marketing, business, or related program; recent
graduates may also be considered.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
Ability to cope with rejection and remain calm under pressure.
Experience:
Previous experience in sales or customer service is beneficial but
not required.

*Cannot exceed working 40 hours per week, this includes other on- campus employment
*Okay with $16.50/hour up to 160 hours
