Reports to: Compliance Lead Analyst

CFG Merchant Solutions, LLC (CFGMS) is a rapidly growing alternative finance company that provides working capital to small and medium sized businesses throughout the US in the form of Revenue Based Financing.

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern to join our Compliance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance management, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will assist in buildout of a compliance management system, supporting policy drafting, and contributing to the implementation of compliance processes.

Intern Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the compliance team to collect, organize, and manage data within our compliance tool.
• Assist in drafting and updating policies to align with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Support the development and implementation of a SOC 2 base tool, ensuring compliance with relevant industry frameworks.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help establish streamlined workflows.
• Perform audits of compliance-related data and documentation.
• Conduct research on regulatory updates and industry best practices to support the compliance team.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Law, corporate compliance, information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence and familiarity with compliance tools or software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2) and business process reengineering are a plus.
