The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Information Technology has an opening for an Information Technology Supervisor II in the Remote IT Services Unit.

The position is located at 1515 Clay Street, Suite 1400, Oakland, CA 94612. Our office is in the Elihu M Harris Building in downtown Oakland near Federal and City Government buildings. Conveniently located near many restaurant options and less than a 5-minute walk from 12th St./Oakland City Center BART Station. 

Duties: 

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. The incumbent will function as the Northern IT Services Supervisor of staff as well as a technical working supervisor of the Northern IT Services Area. The incumbent will be responsible for the direction and coordination of staff activities as well as performing IT operational support for day-to-day activities for an assigned region. The incumbent will be requested to work unusual hours, weekends, or holidays as needed to support equipment maintenance and network operations and will be requested to travel to other remote field offices as necessary to provide support. The incumbent will provide services from IT domains including Business Technology Management, Client Services, and System Engineering.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.

Salary: $8,256.00 - $11,063.00 per Month
