Corporate Accounting Intern

Hybrid work environment:

  • Monday - Wednesday (onsite) Thursday - Friday (remote)
  • Hourly rate: $17-22

Job Overview  

Oil-Dri Corporation of America is in search of a summer corporate accounting intern who is a motivated self-starter eager for the opportunity to further their accounting education with practical, on-hand experience working alongside seasoned accounting professionals at a publicly traded corporation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Assist in preparing and reconciling accounts, including bank and credit card statements.
  • Assist with audit preparation by compiling necessary documentation.
  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with accounting team on special projects and initiatives.
  • Process accounts payable transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in accountancy, or on track to complete an accounting degree

Skills & Abilities:

  • Committed to maintaining accountability in all assigned duties
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-Solving
  • Critical Thinking
  • Communication – both written and verbal
  • Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to ERP, Blackline, Concur, SAGE, is a plus
