
Proshop Desk Attendant
Job Description
The Pro Shop Desk Attendants are responsible for processing payments for merchandise and programs held at the IU Sports Complex, answering phones, and greeting patrons.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Process payments and/or registrations for merchandise and/or various programs at the IU Sports Complex.
2. Provide exceptional customer service to all facility constituents.
3. Maintain cleanliness in the Pro Shop.
4. Adherence to all policies and procedures of IUI and the IUI Sport Complex.
5. Understand and follow all safety rules and regulations including knowledge of emergency procedures.
6. Regular and timely adherence to respective schedule/trainings.
7. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
1. Must be at least 17 years old.
2. Must be able to meet the Indiana University background check standards for the Programs Involving Children (PIC) policy.
3. Some weekend availability is preferred.
4. Previous cash handing experience is required.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, and other full or part-time staff.
6. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
7. Ability to reason and solve problems.
8. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight (with or without correction) to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate information.
9. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
