Sustainability Engineering Intern
Summary:
- Support our goal of reducing Scope 1 carbon emissions on site through evaluating the cost/benefit of different HVAC improvements done over the past 5 years at the two CTUS facilities, and determining the best plan going forward to further reduce Scope 1 emissions from natural gas use.
- Support & learn about HSE activities in chemical manufacturing
- Create a business case for electric charging stations for employees and business travelers
- There may be some work from home ability, but the nature of their project will require them to be regularly on site.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanically minded
- Understanding usage of Personal Protective Equipment
- Commitment to safety, quality and environmental protection
- Detail oriented
- Previous coursework in sustainability, engineering, or building efficiency preferred
- Pursuing a degree in mechanical, civil, or environmental engineering; sustainability; or similar field
