Program Dates:

June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025

Program Goals and Objectives:

The intern will learn how testing software applications or systems for its non-functional requirements: the way a system operates, rather than specific behaviors of that system. This contrasts with functional testing, which tests against functional requirements that describe the functions of a system and its components.

Security testing will ensure that all software vulnerabilities are discovered, prioritized and remediated to secure our code and data. The intern will learn the Whitehat Sentinel scanning tool, security reporting and work with developers to remediate and retest vulnerabilities.  Also, the intern will be a part of the creation of the CI/CD process for security, contribute to the federated QA approach to security testing and be on the ground floor as we integrate Fortify into our SDLC.
