Energy - Market Analyst Intern - Latin America & Caribbean Region
  

About the role
We are looking for a Market Analyst Intern to join our dynamic, decarbonization focused Energy organization for the Americas region. This paid internship will be located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida or Houston, Texas.
 
As a Market Analyst Intern, you will support the sales organization with: 1.Market Studies, 2. Project feasibility, 3. Technology comparison studies, 4 Renewable Energy Storage – Hybrid studies 5. Customers, Consultants & Energy stakeholders’ interactions.  The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering and has a general understanding of power systems, power plants, and the energy transition.
 
As a Market Analyst Intern you will focus on these responsibilities:

Conduct market and country analyses which support project and market development initiatives.

Participate actively in front-line market development by identifying key stakeholders and engaging in customer dialogues.

Participate in various initiatives such as energy stakeholder’s advocacy to provide information to consultants.

Support Market Development, Sales, and Marketing with relevant information on markets and data for power system analysis and sales project screening.

Develop and maintain financial models and feasibility calculation tools.

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

Required qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering or another field that supports the task. 
  • A general understanding of power systems, power plants and power system modelling. 
  • Previous work experience related to energy, renewables, oil and gas or economics.
  • A positive and proactive approach and demonstrate ownership and responsibility for driving your own work.
  • Excellent analytical skills, a good understanding of financial analysis, and advanced skills in MS tools. 
  • Most important at this stage is that you are a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, interest in energy business and excitement to travel. 
  • Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid model at our Fort Lauderdale, FL or Houston, TX office.
  • Fluent in English.

 

Desired qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, and proficiency in other languages is considered an advantage.
  • A master’s degree is advantageous but not required.
