Movie Studio AI and Automation Intern

Job Title: AI and Automation Intern - Build the Future of Film Studio Workflows

Location: Remote or Bel Air, California (Hybrid Option Available)

We are developing a cutting-edge AI-powered assistant to enhance collaboration and automate workflows on Miro, a virtual collaboration platform. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, automation, and creative storytelling, contributing to the future of film production.

 

What You’ll Learn:

• How to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for real-world applications in a dynamic film studio environment.

• Advanced API integration to automate content management, task workflows, and project timelines on Miro.

• Skills in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning to power intelligent chat-based collaboration tools.

• Practical experience in combining technology and creativity to transform traditional studio workflows.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate AI-powered tools to automate workflows and content management on Miro using its API.

• Build conversational AI features for real-time collaboration across departments, using platforms like OpenAI’s GPT models.

• Create and test automated workflows for managing production schedules, updating tables, and generating reports.

• Train and fine-tune machine learning models to enhance the AI assistant’s capabilities.

• Collaborate with team members to identify workflow challenges and design innovative solutions.

• Document processes, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize the AI assistant for efficiency and scalability.

 

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with APIs and integration tools (experience with the Miro API is a plus).

• Interest in AI and machine learning, with familiarity in tools like OpenAI GPT, TensorFlow, or PyTorch preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for leveraging technology in creative industries.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation tools like Zapier or Integromat.

• Basic understanding of project management workflows and tools like Asana or Trello.

• Enthusiasm for movies, storytelling, and innovation in the entertainment industry.

 

Details:

Duration: 10 weeks (aligned with UCLA’s academic calendar).

Hours: Flexible, 8–16 hours per week.

Compensation: Unpaid; students must enroll in an academic internship course for credit.
