Zero Waste Event Assistant

Zero Waste Event Assistants are an integral part of the Zero Waste and Hard to Recycle Collection programs. Apply today to start providing field support for PRC’s Zero Waste Event Services and Hard to Recycle Collections. These are contract opportunities that pay hourly. We are seeking workers with a passion for getting their hands dirty while helping divert thousands of pounds of waste from the landfill. People with food service, educational, and outdoor work backgrounds highly encouraged to apply. The positions are on an as-needed basis per our Zero Waste and Hard to Recycle Events schedule. Events are usually on weekends and evenings May – October.

Skills We Look For: 

• Attention to detail. 
• Ability to use email, Google Forms, and/or Sign Up Genius to coordinate shifts. 
• Leadership, conflict management, and resolution skills. 
• Ability to be on your feet for 4 – 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. 
• Flexibility to work weekends and accommodate a highly variable schedule that may include early morning and late night shifts.
