Internship Overview / Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Technology Management Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will play a critical role in improving the security and compliance of our company’s systems, processes, and workforce. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and IT management within a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct system audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Evaluate new software vendor requests to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees.
- Review and process access change requests to maintain appropriate resource permissions.
- Provide technical support for IT and security-related questions from team members.
- Contribute to incident response efforts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
Requirements / Desired Qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with or interest in cybersecurity principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote environment.
