Overview

We are a small, independent counseling practice dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care in a supportive environment. We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing and Communications Intern to help expand our digital presence and connect with our community through strategic content creation and marketing efforts. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in social media management, marketing strategy, and branding, while making a meaningful contribution to mental health advocacy. Schedule of 10 hrs a week, hybrid and flexible scheduling with office located NE GR 

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management:
    • Plan, create, and schedule engaging posts across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
    • Develop content themes aligned with mental health awareness, practice values, and current trends.
    • Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster community engagement.
  • Content Creation:
    • Design graphics, write captions, and source or create images/videos for use on social platforms.
    • Assist in developing blog posts, newsletters, and other written materials to promote services and mental health education.
  • Marketing Strategy:
    • Collaborate on campaigns to promote specific services or events.
    • Analyze engagement metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
    • Conduct market research to understand target audiences and identify opportunities for growth.
    • SEO coding and enhancement of practice website and posts.
  • Brand Development:
    • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and visual identity across all digital content.
    • Contribute ideas to refine the practice's online presence and branding initiatives.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in advertising, marketing, communications, psychology, social work, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • SEO website coding, development, enhancement skills.
  • Interest in mental health, wellness, or counseling fields is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
