Program Coordinator and Marketing Intern
In this internship, you have the opportunity to support Sunrise Retreats, a community-based nonprofit that focuses on enhancing the health and well-being of women navigating life after the death of their spouse. - Marketing Track: The Marketing Intern will assist in the development and execution of Sunrise Retreats' annual marketing strategy, with a focus on brand promotion, community outreach, and content creation. The intern will play a key role in creating a comprehensive marketing calendar, developing social media content, and producing a video that highlights the founding story of Sunrise Retreats. This position will provide hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and branding within a mission-driven organization.
- Program Coordination Track: The Project Coordinator Intern will assist the Executive Director in planning, coordinating, and executing a Health Education series tailored to a specific target population. The intern will assist the Exec. Dir. in the development of monthly topics, and manage the creation of course materials. This position will involve tasks related to project management, content creation, and utilizing the Mighty Networks platform to build and launch the course series.
Requirements:
- Currently studying business administration, marketing, public administration, community health or related field; upper division class standing or graduate student preferred
- Demonstrates independence, innovative thinking, and a proactive sense of responsibility
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and basic digital content creation tools (Facebook, Instagram, and Canva).
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Mighty Networks or similar online membership communities and course platform tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for health education and supporting community well-being.
- Passion for storytelling and the ability to create content that connects emotionally with the audience.
- Previous experience in video production, social media management, or brand marketing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing strategies.
