SECS Tutor Advisor

As an SECS Tutor Advisor, you will provide operational oversight for the EC Tutoring Center. This includes, but is not limited to: advising current tutoring staff, managing tutoring logs, organizing events, and ensuring the everyday organization of the tutoring center. This is an on-campus position,


 

Essential Duties: 


 

Offer assistance and advice to current SECS tutors.

Advertise the tutoring center in the EC and classes to help newer students become acclimated to it.

Manage tutoring logs and compile class-specific data.

Find new ways of improving the overall experience and efficiency of the tutoring center such as planning social events and team-building activities.

Lead tours and participate in panel discussions for admission and SECS events for future students. 

 

Qualifications: 

Must be at least sophomore standing or higher.

Currently tutoring students through SECS.

Enrolled as a student in good standing within the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.

Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.


 

Pay Rate: 17

Hours: 20
