Water Engineering Internship

Our Water Team and Projects
Nearly 120 professional engineers, strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We assist clients from the initial conceptual stages of a project through schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight. Well versed in local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements, as well as ever evolving climate change impacts and concerns, we strive to incorporate sustainability and resiliency into our site plans and designs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Researching, compiling, and examining a wide variety of structure-related data
- Assisting staff with various projects and/or field assignments
- Creating concept-level design of treatment works and perform computations for stormwater and watershed planning, and water quality studies
- Performing engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of reports and specifications
What You Will Need
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Civil or Environmental Engineering with at least 2 years of completed coursework
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks
- Previous, relevant internship experience in civil or environmental engineering, design, or consulting
Compensation
Engineering intern hourly rates range from $19-$26 per hour and are determined based on completed years of education
